The Flying Horseman Ranch is located in the southwest corner of the majestic Blue Ridge Mountains in Patrick County and sprawls out over 100 acres. Within those 100 plus acres, you will find everything from airplanes to horses to wildlife, walking trails and even the Mighty Spoon Creek.
Our runway is 1900 feet long of beautifully manicured grass that has a very interesting profile, the runway rises about 100 feet from the south end to the north end. The runway runs north/south (35/17) and is one way in and one way out. Landing is to the north on 35 with a left traffic pattern and take off is to the south. When landing the best place to touch down is just after the first roller on the flat before the second. During the fly in we monitor 122.9, however other times we recommend using that freq. even though it will not be monitored.
Please reach out to the Flying Horseman Ranch before your first landing.
